Who needs Visa to enter Uzbekistan? 


For foreign nationals who wish to visit and / or transit through the territory of the Republic of Uzbekistan it is mandatory to obtain an entry visa to the country.

Visa regulations for citizens of some countries:

1. There is a bilateral visa-free regime with Kyrgyzstan (up to 60 days), Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Kazakhstan, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine. 2. There is simplified procedure for issuing visas to citizens of Austria, Belgium, Britain, Germany, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Malaysia, France, Switzerland and Japan. Tourists from these countries are issued multiple entry visas valid for up to 1 month, and the business community - up to 1 year (Malaysia - up to 6 months), also an invitation of an individual or legal person from Uzbekistan is not required. Visas are issued within 2 working days, excluding the day the documents were submitted. 3. Foreign nationals intending to come to Uzbekistan from a country where there is no diplomatic or consular mission of Uzbekistan can get visas on arrival at the Visa Unit of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan in the international airport «Tashkent. 4. With the Republic of Korea (60 days), Brazil, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Turkey - visa requirements for holders of diplomatic passports for up to 90 days. Citizens of these countries possessing the diplomatic passport and accredited as members of diplomatic missions or consular missions located in the territory of the Parties and their families have the right to enter and stay without a visa for the whole period of operation. With Romania and Slovakia a visa-free regime for holders of service passports is establishedup for up to 90 days. :)

4. Holders of diplomatic passports from the Republic of Korea (60 days), Brazil, Hungary, Romania, Slovakia and Turkey are not requeired to obtain visa for visits up to 90 days. Citizens of these countries possessing the diplomatic passport and accredited as members of diplomatic missions or consular missions located in the territory of Uzbekistan and their families have the right to enter and stay without a visa for the whole period of operation. With Romania and Slovakia a visa-free regime for holders of service passports is established for up to 90 days.

Consular fees for registration and issuance of visas:

a) Однократные визы: Single Entry Visa:

     - up to 7 days- 40,00 USD                 - up to 3 months - 80,00 USD
     - up to 15 days- 50,00 USD               - up to 6 months - 120,00 USD
     - up to 30 days- 60,00 USD               - up to 12 months - 160,00 USD

b) Multiple Entry Visa:

     - up to 6 months - 150,00 USD
     - up to 12 months - 250,00 USD

c) For group Visas (less than 10 people, excluding children under 16 years):

     - up to 15 days - 15,00 USD per person
     - up to 30 days - 25,00 USD per person

Also fees for reimbursement of actual costs associated with obtaining visas can be charged. The amount of such fees depend on the place of visa issuance (irrespective of the nationality of the applicant).

Uzbekistan and Japan on mutual basis issue visas without consular fees.


How much time it takes to obtain Visa?

Processing of visa applications by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Uzbekistan takes from 3 to 10 working days.

Processing of visa applications by the diplomatic missions and consular offices of the Republic of Uzbekistan abroad takes from 3 to 10 working days.

It is recommended to start the procedure of obtaining Visa to Uzbekistan at least 30 days before the expected date of arrival in the country.


Necessary documents

Foreign nationals wishing to obtain Uzbek Visas are required to submit to the diplomatic or consular mission of Uzbekistan abroad the following documents:


- Passport, the validity of which must exceed the period of validity of Visa at least by 3 months;


- 2 printed copies of filled Visa Application Form;


- 2 color passport-size photographs.
